Medal, bronze. Obverse side, Britannia seated left, receiving gifts from kneeling figures. Three female figures standing to the right, the British lion crouched in the foreground. On the reverse side there is an inscription within a closed wreath, 1862/ LONDINI/ HONORIS/ CAUSA (PRESENTED AT LONDON BECAUSE OF DISTINCTION)
