This medal made by L. C. Wyon after Sir J. E. Boehm and Sir Frederick Leighton commemorates the Golden Jubilee of the Reign of Queen Victoria. This was the official jubilee medal issued from 18 July 1887 to 26 February 1889.

Physical description | Obv., draped bust of Queen Victoria wearing veil and small crown, left. Rev., the Queen, enthroned, surrounded by seven figures symbolising the arts and industries of Britain. Above are two cherubs holding entwined wreaths and shields bearing the dates. In the exergue are five shields inscribed with the names of the five cnotinents. |
