This bronze medal made by Frank Bowcher commemorates the opening of Tower Bridge. The bridge was commissioned to Sir Horace Jones and John Wolfe-Barry, and opened by the Prince of Wales on 30 June. This medal won the first prize in the competition to mark the occasion.

Obv., bust of Princess Alexandra, Queen Victoria and the Prince of Wales three quarter left; Queen Victoria crowned, the Prince of Wales and Princess Alexandra bare head. Rev., view of Tower Bridge from down stream south bank with the Bridge House Estates mark within branches above.
