This bronze medal depicts Winston Churchill. On the reverse side there is a hand carrying a flaming torch emerging from a cloud and an inscription.

The medal was given to the museum by the artist, Artur Loewental, a Jewish sculptor and medallist who escaped to England from Austria in 1934. He lived in London before moving to Lincoln around 1942.

Reverse, A hand carrying a flaming torch emerging from a cloud. Underneath the artists monogram. To the right and left and inscription. Around an edeg another inscription.
