This medal depicts the bust of Albert, Prince Consort and is made by Charles Wiener in memory of the Prince Consort's founding of two international exhibitions, 1851 and 1862.
Charles Wiener (1832-1888) was the brother of Jacques and Leopold Wiener of the Wiener family, a Jewish-Flemish family of artists and engravers.
