Physical description | Statuette, bronze. The figure in fantastic classical armour is seated on a lion skin on the rearing horse. The head, turned to the left, his right hand pointing forward and the left holding reins (missing) Attached to the figure and the horse by fluttering drapery a figure of Victory floats behind holding in her right hand a wreath over the rider's head; her left hand holds a sheaf. Beneath the horse's raised hooves the defeated enemy lies on his side, naked except for a skin round the loins; beneath him his shield. |
