This terracotta sketch model depicts Justice seated holding the scales in her right hand and pointing with her left hand to her breast. Her head is turned back towards the standing figure of Peace, who bends over her. The right hand of Peace rests on the right shoulder of Justice, and her left arm is raised. To the right of Justice, a putto kneels carrying the fasces. The group, which was purchased in Florence and is possibly Tuscan, dates from the middle of the eighteenth century.
