Brief description
Inkstand with a coat of arms, emblems and mottoes. Italian late 16th century.
Physical description
Inkstand in bronze. Triangular, on three lion feet and with cover formed of three volutes surmounted by a knob. In the middle of the sides are the following, a coat of arms surmounted by a crest with motto SIC MITIOR; an emblem with a sun and moon above a landscape with ET DIE ET NOCTV, and emblem with a tree towards which four birds are flying with HINC SANITAS.
