Physical description
Marble column, inlaid with mosaic. White marble tapering slightly from a stepped base to a simple leaf capital. The drum is inlaid with a chevron design in red, black, cream and gold glass mosaic.

Historical context
This column has an inscription that it was given by Giovanni Ferentino, Archdeacon of Norwich which would date it from between 1231 and 1238.
