This boxwood statuette was probably made in the late 17th or early 18th century South Netherlands. This represents St. Sebastian bound to a tree.

Physical description

Boxwood statuette representing St. Sebastican. He is naked but for drapery around the waist stands bound by the wrists to the base of a tree. At the side of him on the ground a plumed helmet.
