Physical description | Ivory figure of a bearded man with short loincloth from a crucifixion group. The head erect and the eyes and mouth open, with the teeth visible. The hair is fine and string-like. The right arm bent downwards at the elbow. The right forearm is disproportionately short. The left arm missing. The back of the head and body are virtually uncarved, and show the hollow curve of the pulp cavity. |
