Physical description
Statuette, bronze. The horse stands in full tackle on a base roughened to resemble uneven ground. The base is inscribed on one side 'THE EMPTY SADDLE' and at one end MCM/ XIV encircled by a wreath, and at the other end MCM/ XIX also encircled by a wreath. The piece is a smaller reproduction of the War Memorial in the Cavalry Club.
