Plaster cast of 1045-1884 (St Maurice collection). Border of an arch, from an unidentified building in Cairo, presumably of Mamluk date.

Originally consisted of four panels. Two sets of dimensions exist in the inventory records, with slight variations in some of the measurements: 1884-808 H.3ft 5in, W.1ft. 1884-808a H.3ft, W.10 ¾ in 1884-808b H.1ft 7 ½ in, W. 2ft. 1884-808c H.2ft 2in, W.3ft 8in.

Moulded from the cast No. 1045-1884, in the South Kensington Museum (St. Maurice Collection) by Bullen in workshop. The original is in Cairo. Saracenic, 15th century. Recorded as lent to the Royal Scottish Museum on 12th December 1921.
