Mural tablet, enamel composed of seventeen plaques mounted in a frame of white metal. On the central plaque in gilt letters in inscribed 'By her will dated 19 February 1889 Mrs Harriet Bolckow relict of the late H.W.F. Bolckow, Esq. M.P. bequeathed to the Science and Art Department her collection of lace and jewellery. The 68 objects of which it consists were received in 1890 and are now exhibited each being labelled "Bolckow Bequest".'
The border consists of marine deities, winged emblematical figures and and floral arabesques, in grisaille on a purple translucent ground enriched with touches of gold. In the middle of each side is a circular plaque, decorated with a female figure in purple translucent enamel, outlined with gold on a silver ground, and holding jewellery or lace.
