Inkstand

Inkstand with a cylindrical ink-pot and cover, cylindrical pounce pot and cover, and a small movable oval well of buff-coloured earthenware. Covered with a manganese-brown glaze.
The stand is in the form of an oval moulded pedestal, with flat top in which are openings for the pots and well. At the back rises a bearded bust on a pedestal with a hole for a candle at the top of the head. The pots are cylindrical, witha rosette to form the knob of the covers. The well is oval.
