Cream jug of soft-paste porcelain. Of baluster shape with a thin loop handle and sparrow-beak spout. Decorated with transfer-printed designs in underglaze blue, on one side with an oriental garden dominated by a zigzag fence in the foreground. The reverse bears the unusual subsidiary design composed of an island, with a hut and trees, while two birds fly overhead. Round the top on the inside and outside a double line in underglaze blue. The handle ornamented with an elongated foliate spray.
