[Register]: Report of Art Referee, Sir M. D. Wyatt, 16th Sept 1868: “These pieces are quite exceptional in size and importance and are equal to anything either at Sèvres or Cluny. They are not, however, equal to the Duke of Hamilton’s gift.”
