Evening Bodice

1937-1939 (made)
Artist/Maker
Place of origin

Evening dress bodice composed of wide pale pink satin ribbon. The cups have pointed tops and darts, with a large double triangular pleat between them. The back edges have holes for a lace fastening. Two narrow, pink shoulder straps are attached to the back panels of the bodice. It is quite high waisted with a jagged lower edge.

There is a rough seam line with remnants of tacking stitches, which indicates that the bodice was once attached to a skirt.
