Nutmeg mill in turned rosewood and zebrawood, with chased silver mounts. The grinding apparatus is metal. The case is composed of four pieces which screw into each other, the centre being of rosewood and the rest of zebrawood. The whole forms an ovoid shape with a moulded top and foot, and is encircled at the centre with festoons and rosettes in silver. The grinder consists of an iron mass with ridged surface working into a ridged socket and fitted with a vertical shaft to which can be applied a handle with a wooden knob and hinged arm.
