Danny Lane is an American who lives and works in London. The balustrade was delivered to the Museum as 160 separate stacked columns. These were bolted to the mezzanine structure by Danny Lane's assistants. Danny Lane himself then completed the work by variously twisting the columns so that the whole may be read as an undulating, yet integrated form.
