Karen Bennicke is among Denmark's leading ceramic artists. Of considerable international standing, she has exhibited and is represented in numerous prestigious public collections throughout the world.
This work 'A Sign from Le Corbusier' originates from the exhibition Action - Architectures, held at the Nancy Margolis Gallery in New York in 2005. Of the exhibition Bodil Busk, Director of the Danish Museum of Art & Design herself writes: "With a series of works that penetratingly combine art and architecture in a new structural idiom, Karen Bennicke shows her strength as a great international ceramic artist who has roots in the Utopianism and Constructivism of the twentieth century, yet still relates strongly to the existential issues of her own time."
