Physical description

Border of reticella lace, with linen ground cut and drawn into a series of half inch squares, decorated with single geometric patterns, mainly diagonal lines and triangles, in button-hole stitch. One long edge is trimmed with long, pointed scallops of bobbin lace, made in two pieces; a single, straight edging of plaited bobbin lace and a scalloped lace worked mainly in cloth stitch. There is a short piece of plaited bobbin lace attached to the narrow strip of un-worked linen at one end of the border.
