Physical description

Two borders of bobbin lace worked in linen thread. Along the lower edge is a narrow border consisting of groups of four dots with a line above and tiny trefoil leaves and loops between. Above this is a wavy line of dots and a line of pairs of leaves with serrated edges. The rest of the border consists of diamond shaped dots arranged in rows on a six-sided mesh ground. There is a join in the centre of the border. A length of machine made net, 1.5 inches wide, has been attached to the upper part of the border.
