Object history | Registered File number 1983/2185. The flowerheads are worked in a style now associated with the Glasgow School of Art and the students and designers working there at the end of the nineteenth century and early twentieth century, although the designer of this pattern is not known. The fabric was used by the Danish architect Martin Nyrop in the interior decoration of the Copenhagen Town Hall built by him between 1898 and 1905. It was sent to the museum for identification and gifted by Miss Osvald, a student researching aspects of the building. |
