Furnishing sample of woven silk, wool and cotton double cloth. Showing an incomplete design of large swirling leaves between which spring small bunches of snowdrop-like flowers in pale blue, green and pink. The silk is worked in pink which gives a vibrant outline to leaves and petals. The dark green colour is cotton and the pale blue is wool.

Furnishing sample of woven silk, wool and cotton double cloth. Showing an incomplete design of large swirling leaves between which spring small bunches of snowdrop-like flowers in pale blue, green and pink. The silk is worked in pink which gives a vibrant outline to leaves and petals. The dark green colour is cotton and the pale blue is wool.

Registered File number 1983/2185.
The fabric was used by the Danish architect Martin Nyrop in the interior decoration of the Copenhagen Town Hall built by him between 1898 and 1905. It was sent to the Museum for identification and gifted by Miss Osvald, a student researching aspects of the building.
