Border of machine made lace. The lace is écru in colour. The main parts of the pattern are outlined by a thicker thread and meshes of various dizes and patterns are used as a background. The design consists of a series of shaped compartments marked out by floral and leafy scrolls with archways above. In the centre of every alternate arch is a head and below is a formal flower. In each compartment between these arches is a prancing harnessed horse. The lower edge is scalloped.
