Brief description
One of three square tiles of red earthenware, with moulded ornament, covered with a manganese-purple glaze, the decoration consists of the arms of Johann Schonroide, protonotary of the Holy Apostolic See and dean of Aix-la-Chapelle, the armorial shield, surmounted by a protonotary's hat, is charged 1st and 4th, wtih an oak-tree eradicated, for Della Rovere, 2nd and 3rd a bend checky, for Schonroide. German, about 1540
