Bowl of fritware, painted in blue and black under a transparent glaze. Straight sides and contracted foot. The interior base decorated with two black fish on a blue ground enclosed by a band with Kufic inscriptions. Above a few very tiny flowerets in black on a white background. The blue rim painted with fish in black. The surface has been affected by long burial and shows parts of iridescence.
