"Closely related to the Kashan lustre-painted tiles of about 1300, and perhaps of the same origin, is a frieze-tile in the Museum with part of a large inscription (No. 1830-1876), another border-tile (No. 536-1900), and a fragmentary star tile with Chinese lotus-design (No. C. 40-1954). On these the raised white patterns are outlined in black against a dark blue ground." |
