Plate of soft-paste porcelain painted with enamels and gilded. Scalloped edge. In the well is a group of dead game in a woodland clearing, comprising a duck, a pheasant and a hare. This decoration is based on a print from a series of six entitled Trofées de Chasse drawn by Christophe Huet (1700-59) and engraved by Jean-Baptiste Guélard, ca.1750. The border is painted with a shell edge, in blue and gold, and three trophies of dead game with hunting accoutrements also derived from Trofées de Chasse, alternating with swags of foliage.
