Decorated with a shield of arms (argent a sword in pale azure ensigned with a mullet gules surmounted by a saltire couped sable, and a crest of a two-masted ship in a sea in full sail proper, for Gavin, impaling gules a chief argent for Hersey) within a border of pink scale pattern with rich foliate mantling in white and red; small detached sprays in dull purplish blue.
