Plate of soft-paste porcelain. The base a shallow curve decorated in silver and gilt with cherry blossom and two birds on an ivory ground. The rim is formed by a waved band in imitation of a ribbon, coloured pink and edged with gilt, which is 'knotted' at intervals where it is attached to the plate.
