Six-lobed plate of porcelain. The well painted in enamel colours with the interior of an Arabian Palace, with heavy red curtains across the top and down the left hand side. In the foreground three figures seated on cushions. On the left a pedestal-table covered with fruit and an urn, while on the floor underneath another too handed vessel and a plate of fruit. To the right stands a figure in peasant costume with a fish under his left arm. The flange is bordered by thick gold bands enclosing a gilt lattice design. Top centre a heraldic crest, comprising a demi-lion rampart, holding in his dexter paw a thistle (rose?) proper.
