Bowl of hard-paste porcelain. Oval, four-lobed shape in Japanese (Arita) style. Lobes outlined in iron-red, painted alternately in purple camaïeu with fighting horsemen in Near Eastern dress, after engraving by Ridinger, and lustre ground with gold diaper ornament and reserved flowers with gold and red centres. Gold edge.
