Physical description

Table-shaped game standing on four legs, made from pasted chipboard and pressed steel, finished with enamel paint. The outside surface is printed dark blue with triangles of white. The main 'rink' is printed in light blue and yellow to show eight hockey players, with crowd scenes at each corner, and goals at the centre of each short side. The playing surface is restricted by curved upright bands of metal, printed yellow with blue stripes. In front of each goal is a player, each mounted on a rod which is attached and is operated by a round handle. The handles protrude from the short ends of the game itself and are painted black. One player is printed yellow with blue shorts, and the other blue with red shorts. In the centre of the game is the title, maker's trademark and name.
