Roller printed cotton furnishing fabric with a small-scale floral design. The pattern, printed in blue, purple, black and red shows a small all-over design with a 9.75 inches x 19 inches (24.8 cm x 48.2 cm) repeat consisting of red flowerheads on curving black stems with blue and purple leaves. A full width of fabric with both selvedges are present.

Paper label is stapled to it saying 'To be Returned Uncut to Mr Morton, Dentonhill Works, Carlisle'.

Marks and inscriptions
'To be Returned Uncut to Mr Morton, Dentonhill Works, Carlisle' and 'Sent to show a good scale of design. The black, however, was cut on copper, and is far too fine for wood, so that the general treatment put on wood must be somewhat broader' (On a paper label, stapled )
