Physical description
Piece of woven silk, gold lattice on red ground. The lattice contains a narrow red and gold diapered stem decorated with white and gold rosettes at regular intervals. The lattice is edged with blue and white leaf-like motifs. Each medallion contains a single floral sprig with three highly stylised blossoms. The silk is a lampas with a satin ground and twill binding. Warp in red silk and pink silk binding. Weft ground in yellow silk, with a pattern in blue, white, black and silver metal around a yellow silk core used in the same shed as a yellow silk weft.
