Brocaded in coloured silks, on a ground closely woven in silver-gilt thread and coloured silk (giving a damask effect). The repeating pattern consists of trellised arches, hung with floral festoons. In the space between one arch and another is figured a patch of ground, bearing a small mosque or mausoleum, flanked by a pair of cypresses. The damask-like ground is diapered with stripes and foliations.
