Described in Acquisition Register as follows:
'Box for bobbins, of mahogany and oak, partly inlaid with amboyna, holly, satin and other woods. From the Neighbourhood of Winslow, Bucks.
The lid is decorated with a medallion containing a star-shaped device, with a narrow border and angle pieces in light and dark woods. There has been a copper hook fastening in front (now broken).
English, late 18th century.
H 5.7 x L 15.2 x W 9.2 cm.'
