Fragment from a tapestry woven panel in purple wool and undyed linen thread, probably originally from a linen tunic. The pattern, dark on light, depicts the remains of a circular roundel enclosing a figure, on a false hatched background. The roundel is surrounded by a wavy foliated stem. There is an outer border of inverted scallops. Details are picked out in flying thread brocading in undyed linen thread.
