Fragment of plain woven linen, with a tapestry woven panel in undyed linen and purple-dyed wool. The left side of the ground weave has two selfbands each of 4-6 linen wefts. There is a selvedge on the right (narrow) side.

The slit-tapestry woven panel depicts a row of octagonal medallions; the outer two contain a 'tree of life' motif, the middle an animal, possibly a hare, on a false hatched background. A purple border forms a roundel surrounding each medallion. Details are picked out in flying thread brocading.
