Place of origin |
The character of Alice has been popularly used in games and toys since the book Alice's Adventures in Wonderland was published in 1865. This was written by Lewis Carroll (1832-98) and illustrated by Sir John Tenniel (1820–1914). The game takes the form of a simple race game. It is quite cheaply produced. The character pictures are very poor copies of the original Tenniel illustrations.
