Jar, heavily thrown from porcelain clay containing small quantities of iron impurities; low wide neck, globular body, and turned recessed base on which the characters meaning 1984 have been impressed; evenly spaced carved channels decorate the exterior in a spiral ridged pattern; complete glaze coverage internally and externally, the body being exposed only on the footring itself; clear glaze with bubbling and a strongly bluish tinge, especially where it has pooled in the carved channels on the exterior.
