This screenprinted poster issued on behalf of the PCF (Parti Communiste Francais) is stamped 'Atelier Populaire', identifying if as one of the products of students of the Ecole des Beaux Arts, who turned out an estimated 120,000 posters between May and June 1968. The figure, labelled with the letters 'PCF' balances upon a ball marked 'Parliamentary Democracy', while juggling balls which spell out 'elections', to illustrate how, in the makers' view, Parliamentarianism, or a parliamentary principle or system of government, cannot work.

Above the figure are the words 'Le Parlementarisme', and on the right of the poster, 'Ne paie pas', Each of the juggling balls has a letter which, when put together spells 'ELECTIONS', and the larger ball displays the words, 'Democratie Parlementaire'. The man has the letters 'PCF' in white across his middle. Printed in black on white.
