The figure of an angel stands resting on her left leg. Her body is swayed backwards and slightly to the right while her head with its curling hair is thrown back with her eyes looking upwards.She wears an elaborate fluttering tunic which is open at the neck and caught above the knee by a brooch and round her waist there is a jewelled girdle. It is unclear what was orginally held in her hands although it seems likely to have been a palm branch.
