Gallery label
Set of case bottles , engraved Bohemia, 1720-40 and about 1750 Purchased from the Riaño Collection (263 to 270-1873) The bottles are designed to fit into a travelling chest. They are engraved with two different designs, the bottle with the screw-threaded necks being earlier than the others, suggesting that they may not have originally belonged together, or that the set was assembled from mixed stock. The set was perhaps assembled in Spain, where the bottles were purchased for the Museum. .(18/06/2009)
