This Roman panel relief in marble showing the dead Christ tended by angels is made by an unknown artist in the second half of the 15th century in Italy.

The relief, which appears to have formed part of a predella, has affinities with a predella relief ascribed to Michele Marini in the Palazzo della Minerva at Rome.

Physical description
This marble relief shows the dead Christ in three-quarter length in the tomb, supported by two angels who kneel on the further edge and whose wings extend to the sides of the relief. The left hand of Christ rests on the front of the sarcophagus.
