Sweetmeat dish of soft-paste porcelain painted with enamels. With the 'Partridge pattern' in imitation of Japanese Kakiemon porcelain. In the form of a large shell resting on a heap of smaller shells and coral. The inside is painted with two quails and a flowering prunus-tree and a border of flowers and foliage in Japanese style.
