Liz Gibbons as Photographer
1938
In this fashion photograph for Harper’s Bazaar,
the camera serves as a prop along with a bicycle
partially visible at the top of the frame. Both
are suggestive of leisurely summer activities.
The camera is a 35mm Contax I, which was
introduced in 1932 as a competitor to the Leica.
Gelatin silver print (printed later)
