Figure of the bodhisattva Avalokiteśvara seated on a lotus pedestal; his right palm is upturned in the gesture of giving (varadamudrā) and his left hand holds the stem a lotus, which is broken. He is adorned in jewellery and has a cord running across his torso; an image of the Buddha Amitābha sits in the mediation posture (dhyanamudrā) in his high chignon.
